Current cats

Augustus us short for Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus. I named him after the Roman emperor and philosopher.

Lucilla is short for Annia Aurelia Galeria Lucilla. I named her after the second daughter of emperor Augustus above. I had another cat I named after Augustus’s wife, Faustina the Younger, but I don’t have any pictures of her.

Simeon was my dad’s cat that I kept after he passed away. He was named after a biblical character of the same name.

Cats I used to have

Peaches was my sister’s cat. She adopted him while she was staying with me for a while. I wasn’t planning to have another cat at the time, but I kept him because he grew on me. I used to take him with me to the drive-in but he got out of the car once, spooked, and ran off, and I never found him again.

Napoleon was named after Napoleon Bonaparte, the famous French military and political leader who became emperor.

Josephine was named after Bonaparte’s wife, Empress Joséphine Bonaparte. When I adopted Josephine, I adopted both her and her sister, and gave her sister to my brother.
